Respect ! Is that really gender associated ?

Do we really respect anymore ? Should it be gender associated ?

Does respect needs to be earned ?

Shouldn’t giving respect a basic human behaviour ?

So many questions , right !

Well , that because I think the word has lost all meaning. Isn’t it sad ? Like being just polite and respectful is not cool for our generation or should I just say for some of those who think that being cool at 27 is going to outstand them. But here’s what , it makes them look even more sad. I pity them.

I am not even angry at them because I read it somewhere , that if someone is not treating you right , is being rude or indecent to you just don’t respond to that because they are going through something , so you just step away and let me them be because the concept has lost all meaning to them.

You know , with women especially because I am a woman I am going to talk about it , it is just getting worse by every passing day.

Abusing women simply because they don’t like the way we stand up for ourselves for there own ego and thinking that it is justified , it is simply a common occurrence. When will it stop ? Will it stop ? Why is it so difficult for us humans to simply treat other humans around us with a simple concept of respect ? Is that too much to ask for ?

Are we simply so self involved and so impatient that we are convinced that it is justified to hurt people around us because we are not are at receiving end !

Do humans even stop and give it a thought that how is it going to tamper someone’s mental health , how is the one at the receiving end going to deal with it ! Would they be able to deal with it , process it , accept it and move on ?

How can we only feel when we are at the receiving end of it , why not think ? Why not be patient for once ? Why not be mature about it ? Why not be rational about it ? Why not , not cater to our egos ? Would it be so bad to respect humans around us ?

Shouldn’t it be our responsibility to make world a better place amidst this already difficult of post pandemic which seems to be never ending.

Let’s take responsibility and give it a thought , try to respect people around you regardless of there class because we are only humans and we can only make a better place for everyone around us.
